Located east of downtown Kansas City in Independence, Mo., Space Center offers over 2.2 million square feet of underground distribution and warehouse facilities. The center is humidity controlled and maintains temperatures of 67–72 degrees Fahrenheit.
Space Center’s underground environment lends itself to economical storage and is well suited for food and grocery commodities, food ingredients, medical supplies for both human and animal use and general commodity items. The center is rail served and offers 176 truck doors. Space Center also provides its customers with VAS (value added services) such as display building for promotions, shrink tunnel work, labeling, and extra labor for large projects needing fast turn times.
